Ted Garrison, Construction Industry Visionary and Catalyst for Change
Ted Garrison is the host and co-founder of NCSradio Network. He began his career in the construction industry at the age of 10, helping his Dad build the family home. While pursuing his Civil Engineering & BA degrees from Rutgers University he gained practical experience on framing, trim, and survey crews. After military service he spent 25 years in construction management working for general contractors and developers in project management or senior executive positions in the development and construction of more than a $1B worth of hotels, office buildings and parks, storage facilities and public buildings. His last project was as Director of Construction for the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, the state's largest non-highway public works project in history - delivered on time and on budget.
Since then Ted has spent many years researching topics of importance to the construction industry. He shares his experience, knowledge, research and vision through his radio shows, books, articles, seminars and presentations to industry associations and companies. As the author of Strategic Planning for Contractors, and the host of NCSradio, he focuses on strategic thinking, what companies and individuals must do to differentiate themselves from the competition.
Ted has earned the National Speakers Associations highest earned designation, Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), signifying his competency. In addition to NCSradio he offers highly energized and informative presentations and seminars that provide practical approaches and solutions on how those in the construction industry can improve performance and profitability. His presentations and radio shows often challenge conventional wisdom, but his audiences leave excited and talking about the industry in a new light.
